Blended learning, which is the combination of the face-to-face and online learning environment, has recently become a popular education approach, especially English language education. In order to maximize its effectiveness, blended learning lessons require careful consideration and planning in the designing process. However, up to date, little is known about how to structure and develop English lessons in blended learning environment. This paper will demonstrate the steps to design occupation-oriented lessons for students of Garment and Fashion design at Hanoi University of Industry following blended learning approach. The reasons for selecting classroom activities and the developing learning materials will also be presented. More importantly, with the positive feedback from students and related stakeholders on the effectiveness of the lessons, participants will have opportunities to gain insights into the lesson designing procedures, reflect, adapt or implement in their own educational contexts.
