Empowering Students Through Technology-Integrated Project-based Learning: From Preservice EFL Teachers' Perceptions

Abstract


The rapdid advancement of technology has significantly changed the way knowledge is imparted. The intergration of technology into language classes has now become one of the most discussed topics in the educational circle worldwide. Technology-integrated project-based learning is a new form of project based learning which offers students great learning experiences. The current study investigates students’ perceptions toward the integration of technology-integrated project-based learning in English language classes. It involves the participation of forty preservice EFL teachers at Faculty of Foreign Languages, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, Vietnam. A questionnaire consisting of 13 question items were administered with all students participants, and a focus group interview was conducted with fiften of them. The findings reaveal that the technology-based projects significantly promote students’ learning motiavtion, learning autonomy, and teamwork skills. The majority of students feedback very positively to this new pedagogical approach and add that it is a promising approach that provides students with interesting learning experiences.
