Abstract

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, it is vital to impart appropriate education to the future workforce with necessary skills. The need for better communication and collaborative skills will be far more important than ever. Thus, how teachers help students satisfy these requirements is still the most concerning wonder. After collecting and analyzing data of over 100 successful projects submitted to the Vietnam Education Exchange 2018 and 2019, an annually event organised by Microsoft Education, the authors discovered that, with the help of the internet, 84 percents of participating educators have been exploiting Microsoft OneNote as an educational technology tool to manage their students’ group-works, provide knowledge and develop students’ cooperation skills. During their projects, students often use Microsoft OneNote to collaborate with each other when working on the same tasks, the same files without any obstacles encountered from the distance or the time zones. Having effectively applied this useful tool in their English language teaching, the authors will share their experiences of using Microsoft OneNote with other colleagues to help them engage their students with the assignments, manage their group-works and improve students’ century skills.
