Technology-assisted teaching and learning is considered as one of the most trending approach in these days including the use of Google Suite tools. They have been specially designed for a variety of users’needs such as Google Docs for online editing and saving documents or Google Forms for online surveying. Among those, Google Classroom (GC) was ultilised in this study to assist teachers and students in their engagement in an online learning environment. With the collaboration of questionnaire and interview, the study’s aim was to examine the effectiveness of GC and some difficulties towards teachers and students while joining it. After one school year of implementing GC in an English Speaking and Writing Class of 37 grade-10 students at Ha Tinh University, some significant findings were pointed out. Briefly, a majority of students were excited about advances of using GC to access online learning and submit assignments with great conveniene. It was voted as the most useful application for teachers in assigning tasks in various forms and assessing performances with the funtion of setting specific deadlines and adapting a grading scheme. It also piled up a significant data source of students’ work in speaking and writing in topics which could be served for further related research. However, one serious problem of being unable to submit learners’ work/projects during the nearly deadline time was frustratedly encountered by the informants. Other detailed findings will be deliberated in the full paper of this study.
