A graphic organizer is also called a knowledge map, concept map, story map, cognitive organizer, advance organizer or concept diagram. It is a visual and pedagogical display which is used to illustrate the relationship between knowledge, concepts or ideas in the process of teaching and learning ("Graphic organizer", n.d.). In English classes, graphic organizers serve as visual aids to facilitate teachers and students.
